I have TWO updates to this particular post!
1) This post originally began with “Of curse….”. A classic example of a “typo that isn’t a typo”. “Curse is spelled correctly, but it’s not the word I meant to type/use. I meant “course”. But I mistyped it and since “curse” is a real word, it was not flagged as a typographical error (a typo). I made the correction a few minutes ago.
2) My GoFundMe campaign was a rousing success! I received a couple hundred dollars more than my goal. Almost half were from paper checks instead of online. No surprise to me. Most people I know still aren’t comfortable with online financial transactions. Anyway, I was able to purchase a new laptop, plus up-to-date software and tools to carry me for another 4-6 years (I hope/expect).
